BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 24. The ‘South Pars gas condensate’ terminal in Bushehr province, which is situated in the south of Iran, has seen an increase in its export capacity of gas condensate, according to Abbas Gharibi, the CEO of Iran’s Oil Terminals Company (IOTC), Trend reports.
Gharibi stated that the terminal currently exports 32,000 barrels of gas condensate per day. This is an increase from the previous 30,000 barrels per day.
He attributed this to the steps taken at the terminal to enhance its export performance. These steps included upgrading the equipment and replacing the mechanical pumps with electronic ones. As a result, the terminal has become more efficient and productive.
The CEO also mentioned that Iran used only local specialists for all the works done at the terminal.
Iran Oil Terminals Company was founded in 1999 as a company under the National Oil Company of Iran. It operates in various aspects of oil and gas storage, loading, transportation, import and export. The company currently manages six export terminals.
