BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 15. Iran’s Marun Oil and Gas Production Company (MOGPC) used MOT (Mobile Oil Treater) and MOS (Mobile Oil Separator) equipment to produce over 177,000 barrels of crude oil in the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2023 to January 20, 2024), the CEO of the company Ghobad Nasseri, said, Trend reports.

Nasseri said that the company has two units of MOT and MOS equipment in operation. The MOT unit can produce up to 10,000 barrels of crude oil per day, while the MOS unit can produce up to 5,000 barrels of crude oil per day.

The CEO also mentioned that the company is working to increase the production of the Shadgan oil field, which is under its management, to 130,000 barrels per day, and to reduce the flaring of 15 million cubic feet (about 425,000 cubic meters) of gas that is co-produced with crude oil in the Marun oil field.

The Marun Oil and Gas Production Company, which operates under the auspices of the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC), extracts oil from 404 oil wells. The company's daily oil extraction is 562,000 barrels.

About 360,000 barrels of it are transported to the Esfahan Oil Refining Company, and the rest (202,000 barrels) to Kharg Island.

The company also extracts 570 million cubic feet (about 16.1 million cubic meters) of gas, 25,000 barrels of liquefied gas, and 7,000 barrels of gas condensate per day.
