BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 19. SOCAR has released data on the production and export of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) at the SOCAR Polymer plant, Trend reports.
"Over the course of five years, the SOCAR Polymer facility produced 256,460 tons of high-density polyethylene. Of these, 229,585 tons were exported, while 17,500 tons were used to meet domestic demand," the statement of SOCAR noted.
The maximum annual capacity of the plant for the production of high-density polyethylene totals 120,000 tons. The enterprise is located in Sumgayit, Azerbaijan.
The enterprise produces plastic pipes, polyethylene bags, and different types of plastic products, a total of 15 types of products.
This production is also integrated with the infrastructure of the Azerikimya Production Association, which also produces several polyethylene products.
Türkiye, Russia, China, Kazakhstan, and other countries are active customers of SOCAR Polymer's products.
