ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, February 29. Azerbaijan purchased 26,645 tons of RON-92 gasoline from Turkmenistan for the entire year 2023, Trend reports.
According to the data of the Azerbaijan's State Statistical Committee, during the specified period, imports of RON-92 gasoline from Turkmenistan are 37.8 percent less than in the same period in 2022 (42,831 tons).
In value terms, Azerbaijan's imports of RON-92 gasoline from Turkmenistan for the whole of last year amounted to $23.3 million, which is 2.1 times less than in the same period of 2022, when it amounted to almost $49.6 million.
Furthermore, in the whole of 2023, Azerbaijan purchased more than 64,976 tons of RON-92 gasoline from foreign countries for a total amount of $60.2 million.
Meanwhile, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan for the whole of 2023 reached $773.9 million, which is 44.5 percent more than in the same period of 2022 ($535.39 million).
