BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 25. Georgia's National Statistics Service has listed the country's spending on gas purchases from Azerbaijan and Russia for January-February 2024, Trend reports.
Georgia paid $62.6 million for Azerbaijani gas imports from
January through February 2024, which were delivered via two gas
pipeline systems: the South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP) and the
Gazimagomed-Gazakh pipeline, while it spent $59.8 million on
Russian gas imports during the first two months of this year.
The country spent $313 million in 2023 to import 2.5 bcm of
Azerbaijani gas, whereas Russian gas cost $110 million for 0.596
bcm.
