BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 2. Azerbaijan's energy balance will be created using a unified methodology with clear coordination of indicators with all responsible organizations to eliminate earlier disparities in energy data and projections, an informed source told Trend.
The information was announced in a special board meeting at the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan on March 28, dedicated to the methodology of the preparation of energy balances and reports.
"Disparities in oil, gas, and electricity data, as well as the compilation of reports and projections, have existed for a long time due to a lack of a standardized calculation technique. Furthermore, during the final stage of indicator harmonization, Cabinet of Ministers specialists may make revisions. On March 28, at the collegium of the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan, with the participation of representatives from all entities involved in the process, it was decided to improve the parties' harmonization and implement a single calculation technique," the source noted.
Such a single strategy will boost Azerbaijan's information system for governmental control over its energy resources, as well as the accounting and distribution system.
