BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 3. SOCAR AQS, an affiliate of Azerbaijan's State Oil Company, has utilized the state-of-the-art Drillmec HH300 rig for onshore drilling in the country, Trend reports.
According to SOCAR AQS, the drilling was conducted at the Buzovna-Mashtagha field for GL Ltd. (the operating company) within 18 days, reaching a depth of 2,000 meters.
"The high speed and significant depth of drilling are important achievements for SOCAR AQS and demonstrate its commitment to efficient operations," the company said.
GL Ltd. has implemented a risk service contract for the Buzovna-Mashtagha and Gala-Zira blocks since July 2022.
SOCAR AQS is an integrated drilling and well services management company founded in 2007 by the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), Nobel Energy, and Absheron Qazma LLC. It has been operating since 2009 and has a portfolio of orders in Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and several Asian countries.
