BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 11. Azerbaijan produced 12 million tons of oil (including condensate) from January through May 2024, which is 0.7 million tons less than the figure for the same period in 2023, Trend reports.
According to the data of the Energy Ministry, the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) field block produced 6.8 million tons of oil in the first five months of 2024, compared to 7.7 million tons in the same period of 2023.
Furthermore, SOCAR's oil production (including condensate)
amounted to 3.1 million tons against 3.2 million tons.
The Shah Deniz field produced 1.8 million tons of condensate, the
same as in the first five months of 2023.
However, the figure for condensate from the Absheron field was 0.25 million tons. Since field production did not begin until July 2023, there is a lack of comparable data.
To note, similar to 2023, Azerbaijan is expected to produce over 30 million tons of oil and condensate in 2024.
