LOCAL REFINERY TO SELL 300,000 TONS OF NAPHTHA TO DOMESTIC CONSUMERS

SOCAR’s Azerneftyagh refinery is planning to realize a total of 310,000 tons of naphtha on the domestic market.

An Azerneftyagh source told Trend that some 250,000 tons of naphtha would be supplied to meet the needs of the state-run chemistry conglomerate Azerkimya вЂ" the company uses naphtha as a crucial fuel necessary to keep chemistry facilities
running.

The remaining amount of 60,000 tons of naphtha will be delivered to Heydar Aliyev Refinery (former Azerneftyanacag) for further processing with the ultimate production of motor petrol, which is sold at 400-500 U.S. dollars per ton on international markets.

Azerkimya pays SOCAR 842,000 manats (172 U.S. dollars) per ton of naphtha.
