The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) completed drilling of well 237 from new oil and gas producing platform15 on shallow part of the Guneshli field, SOCAR told Trend. The well was commissioned with debit of 200,000 cu m gas per day and little oil. The depth of the well comprised 3,370 meters.
The SOCAR noted that 4 more operating wells were under drilling on the field.
The shallow part of the field is developed from 1980. It locates in south-west of Absheron Peninsula and gives 65% of the Azerbaijani oil production. Residual reserves of the area is estimated at approximately 94-130m tons of oil.
