Azerbaijan to ship 315,000 tons of Ural in Dec

Azerbaijan will ship 315,000 tons of Urals oil from the Novorossiysk port in December 2005. The Azerbaijani International Operating Company (AIOC), which is involved in oil production from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli fields (ACG), will ship one tanker comprising 145,000 tons from the Novorossiysk port in December, a source close to the port told Trend

“The oil shipment from pier 1 of the port is scheduled for 12-13 December,” the same source noted.

Besides, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) will ship 170,000 tons of Urals oil from the Novorossiysk port in December on FOB basis.

Glencore won the tender on shipment of the oil batch by two tankers 85,000 tons each on 24-25 and 30-31 December. One of the lots is profitable, as it is comprised of oil extracted from Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli fields, while the other is regular. The money from sale of the profitable lot will be transferred to the State Oil Fund.
