“The 2nd power unit was commissioned at the Araz Hydroelectric Power Station (HPS) in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic,” Saleh Mammadov, the main engineer of Azerenerji, told Trend.
According to Mammadov, the station produces around 10 MW of energy. The capacity of the Araz station comprises 44 MW. A total of 50% falls to Azerbaijan, 50% - Iran. In the winter the station will work with maximal power - 22 MW.
All the work at the station focuses on preparations for winter season.
