“Azerenerji restores the energy supply of the southern regions after the accident,” Saleh Mammadov, the chief engineer of the company, told Trend.
According to Mammadov, the energy supply of the regions Lankaran, Astara, Lerik, Masally, Yardimly was suspended due to the accident taken place on third Masally electricity transmission line.
“Restoration work is currently carried out on the line, which functions by 30%. All regions will receive energy in the Tuesday afternoon,” Mammadov stressed.
Azerenerji determines the reason. “The check-up showed that the line could be damaged as a result of a shot by hunters. We draw up documents to address to the law-enforcement bodies,” the chief engineer underlined.
It is not the first similar case, as the southern regions were deprived of electricity during a day in late September.
