Azerenergy generates over 22bn kw/h energy in 2005

Over 22,348 billion kW/h of electricity was generated in the system of Azerenerji JSC in 2005, or 4.7% more than 2004 (21,344 billion kW), Trend reports. According to the Central Dispatcher Management told Azerenerji, 19.34 billion kW/h of entire generation fell on thermo-power stations, 3.07 billion kW/h hydro-power stations.

Last year the country carried out import of energy from Russia (1,005,391 billion kW/hour), Iran (649,332 million kW/hour) and Turkey (401,736 million kW/hour).

In December Azerenergy produced over 2.29 billion kW/hour of energy. Hydropower stations produced 0.32 billion kW/hour of energy, while the thermo-power stations 1.97 billion KW/h.

As a result of energy exchange last year 1,003 billion kW/h was imported from Russia (against 1,375 billion in 2004), 656,635 million from Iran and 402,553 million kW/h from Turkey.
