Units of Astara electrical power station will be commissioned in turn since 15 January
Starting with 15 January the units of the Astara electrical power station of the modular type will be commissioned in turn, the Azerenerji Joint Stock Company (JSC) vice-president Marlen Askerov told Trend.
According to him, all construction works are currently finished at the station and testing of the equipment is underway. At the beginning the modular power station (MPS) will generate about 50% of power with the total capacity of 87 MWt. The volume of the gas consumed by the Astara MPS will be some 75,000 cubic meters a month. The MPS performance index is 46%.
Construction of modular power stations is also performed in Sheki and Hachmaz. The Astara MPS consisting of 10 modules (per 8,7 MWt each) will be the first from 52, which Azerenerji plans to commission in 2005-2006. The stations total capacity will be 450-460 РњWt. In 2006 in Baku on the area of the heat and power plant N2, 12 stations will be built, in Nakhchevan, Sheki and Hazmaz areas- per 10 stations.
