SOCAR closes a tender on sale of straight-run petrol from Azerneftyag

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) closed a tender on sale of straight-run petrol (naphtha). The winner of the tender is trader Roc Oil, purchased 15,000 tons of oil product of Azerneftyag oil refinery plant, SOCAR told Trend.

According to SOCAR, 15,000 tons of naphtha is expected to be transported to the Georgian ports till late January. The contract envisages implementation of shipment from January to February, but we expect to complete the shipment till late January, SOCAR underlined.

SOCAR announced the tender on sale of 15,000-tons naphtha due to surplus of this product at Azerneftyag ORP.

It should be mentioned that on Wednesday the Company sold 500,000 tons of different quality mazut to the Singaporean company Petrofarm with export to be carried out during 2006. Starting from January 2006 authorities of Azerneftyag ORP, including, a right of independent export of products to world markets, was granted to the Marketing and Economic Operations Department (MEOD) of the SOCAR, involved in export of oil products of Heydar Aliyev ORP and export of the Azerbaijani oil.
