Greece is interested in development of cooperation with Azerbaijan in the energy field, the Greek diplomatic missions head in Azerbaijan Temistokles Dimidis said in a statement during the meeting with the Minister of Industry and Energy of Azerbaijan Natig Aliyev, the Embassy told Trend.
The meeting was of a familiarization character during which the Ambassador of Greece conveyed the intentions of the Greek authorities to continue cooperation with Azerbaijan in the oil sector. The sides discussed the issues of the both countries cooperation on the Shah-Deniz project.
According to the Greek Embassy, details of further cooperation the Ambassador of Greece plans to discuss with the president of the Azerbaijan State Oil Company (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev as well.
