The Azerbaijan Republican trade union committee of oil and gas industry workers (TUCOGW) applied to the International Federation of Chemical, Energy, Mine and General Workers Union (ICEM) due to violations of rights in regard to the Azerbaijani workers at the Irish Electro-technical Kentech (Caspian) ltd. company, the TUCOGW head Djahangir Aliyev has told Trend.
According to him, there are facts of non-availability of labour contracts, non-payment of overtime works, no vacations stipulated by the legislation are granted to workers and etc. at the company.
В"We are the ICEM members since 1999 and cooperate closely with them. We hope on their assistance on the issue, Aliyev said.
The Kentech (Caspian) ltd. has declined to comment the situation to Trend.
