From January to February 2006 the Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC), developing the on-shore block Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli, produced 2,097,000 tons of Azeri light oil from the contract area or 1,823,000 tons more as compared 2005. The growth is related to the beginning production from Central Azeri in February and Western Azeri in January.
In February 2006 AIOC produced a total of 570,000 tons from the Chirag oil field and 1,026,000 tons from the Central Azeri, the Company told Trend.
In January AIOC produced 1,373,700 tons of Azeri Light oil from the Azer-Chirag-Guneshli field.
