BP, is a Azri-Chiraq-Guneshli field development project operator, has started drilling the first well from the platform installed in the central part of Azeri field, BP told Trend. 4 wells are expected to be drilled in general from this platform.
Earlier, the company has finished joining the advance bores with the Central Azeri platform. 12 wells have been drilled within the frames of the advance bore program, 10 of them are exploitation extracting, one for pumping gas into layers and the other for drilling cuttings upload.
The total amount of the oil extraction, with the beginning of Central and Western Azeri platform drillings will make 458,000 barrels per day.
