During 1Q State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic transferred 3 times less oil via Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline over year, reportedly said Mukhtar Babayev, head of marketing and economic operations, SOCAR.
This, Babayev said, is conditioned by increase of oil production at ACG oilfields and its transportation via Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline by AIOC. As a result, AIOC takes some 80% of the pipeline capacity and SOCAR is left to transfer about 60-80k ton of oil a month.
However, from June 2006 AIOC may diversify oil transportation due to commissioning of min export pipeline Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, Babayev stressed.
In May 2006 SOCAR is going to ship nearly 60k ton of Urals oil via Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline, SOCAR officials told Trend. This oil will be transshipped from 7 or 8 loading points in port Novorossiysk.
