In January to May 2006 the joint ventures and operating companies active in onshore fields in Azerbaijan produced 49,015 million cu m of gas, or 14.2% down as compared to last year, Trend reports.
The biggest portion of gas production fell on Salyan oil, which is involved in the development of Kursangi-Garabaghly contract area. The company lifted 16, 688 million in this period. Least portion of gas production fell on Az.Ећeng-Li Ltd which produced 75,000 cu m of gas, 52.5% less than last year.
At present the SOCAR sells its gas to Anshad Petrol and Gobustan Operating Company.. the latter produced 3, 246 million cu m of gas in January-May 2006.
