Present of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), Rovnag Abdullayev, held a meeting with the French Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Bernard du Chaffout, the SOCAR told Trend. Abdullayev spoke about close cooperation with some French company, including Total, Technip, as well as BNP Paribas bank, and noted the relationships in this sphere will be continued.
The head of the SOCAR noted that his company carries out reforms for transition to international standards. In this respect the experience of French companies is also studied.
The French Ambassador voiced his interests in SOCARs program on training of specialists abroad. He noted that The French Institute of Oil, which occupies an original place among other institutes, could conduct training of highly qualified specialists for the SOCAR.
During the meeting it was resolved to hold one more meeting with the authorized official of this institute. The talks also focused on new opportunities for cooperation with French companies, as well as work with done in this direction after Kazakhstans joining to the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan main export oil pipeline.
