In July Azerbaijan plans to ship 460,000 tons of Ural from the Novorossiysk port. Sources close to the port said that Azerbaijan International Operating company will ship 340,000 tons of oil by three tankers batches, while the SOCAR 120,000 tons of crude.
In July the AIOC will unload two tankers each with 130,000 tons oil from pier 1 of the Novorossiysk port and 80,000 tons from pier 2. The SOCAR will export 60,000 tons of oil from piers 6 or 7.
The sources said that AIOC will ship 130,000 tons of oil from pier N1 in Novorossiysk on 12-13 July, while the second similar cargo will be shipped on 21-22 July, 80,000 tons from pier N2 on 25-26 July. The SOCAR will export 60,000 tons of crude from N2 pier on 1-2 July and the similar volume from N6 or N7 on 29-30 July.
The Novorossiyk port stated that the position for shipment on 30-31 July from N1 pier is vacant at present. In general in July 3,878 million tons of will be shipped from Novorossiysk in July.
228,993 tons of Urals type oil was shipped by SOCAR from Novorossiysk port in January-May 2006 against 815.2kt in 2005, SOCAR told Trend. Tariff for pumping of 1 ton of oil via the Baku-Novorossiyk pipeline is $15.67.
