Azeri Drilling Company Ltd is nearing to complete the mobilization of equipment for drilling its first well in 8 Mart' field, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan told Trend. The company will launch drilling in a week. The well with the project depth of 5,800 meters will be drilled with deepwater jacket 759 on 8 Mart field.
Earlier Azeri Drilling Company Ltd announced a tender on purchase of necessary equipment and materials for drilling gas wells. The deadline for bids is 2 October 2006. The ender bids will be unsealed on 3 October 2006.
Azeri Drilling Company JV was founded by the SOCAR (35%), British Firstdrill Ltd (30%) and Target Petroleum (35%) companies.
The company is involved in drilling oil and gas wells (including horizontal and special drilling), cementing and consolidation of wells, assimilation, overall and underground repair, geophysical researches and perforation.
