On 28 September, BP Azerbaijan made public the implementation of the Community Investment Program (CIP) in Azerbaijan under the South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP) and Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC), Trend reports.
The 3-year Program was set up in 2003 and was implemented with the co-operation of different partner companies.
The BP Azerbaijan Manager for Pubic Relation & Public Investments, Ariana Aliyeva, said that over the 3 years the investments have totaled $8.26mln.
During this period the Company has implemented 8 projects including the mobilization of the community and its potential growth ($3,012m), program to increase the potential of local NGOs ($559,580), heath project ($1,536), initiatives on micro-financing ($1,356m), program on Settlements with the Population having experience in the implementation of projects and newly-established settlements ($624,192), program to increase public awareness and improvement of the environment ($566,896), water treatment program ($251,160), program on improving relationships with schools and Azerbaijan's integration into the world community ($71,300).
During the CIP Program, the relevant projects were implemented in 117 settlements of Azerbaijan.
