The production well stock of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (including joint ventures
and operating companies) totaled 6,182 wells according to 9-month results, Trend reports with reference to SOCAR. Over the first 8 months the figure was 6,174 wells.
From the total amount of wells 4,757 (4,742 in January to August) are in the active stock and 1,412 (1,422 in January to August) in idle. 13 (10 - in January to August) wells are being developed.
