Prices on Azerbaijani Crude Increased

The price on AZERI LT FOB Ceyhan crude oil made up $58.29 per barrel of crude on October 13, 2006 that is on $1.11 per barrel more versus the price of the grade of oil fixed on October 12, 2006, Trend reports. The price on AZERI LT FOB Ceyhan to the last Friday went up to $1.17 per barrel.

The price on AZERI LT CIF Augusta crude was $59.81 per barrel on October 13 that on $1.10 per barrel more versus the price of the same oil grade fixed on October 12. The price on AZERI LT CIF Augusta to the last Friday went down to $1.31 per barrel.

Azeri Light crude is being produced on the bloc of the Azerbaijani offshore oil fields Azeri-Chiragh-Gunashli (BP is the operator of this project). Without any mixing with other brands of oil it is carried to the Turkish Port of Ceyhan via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan main export oil pipeline (BTC), to the Georgian Port of Supsa via the Baku-Supsa pipeline and to the Georgian port of Batumi by railway. The density of Azeri Light is 34.6 degrees by API, the sulphur content is 0.14%.

The price on URAL (EX-NOVO) was $54.80 a barrel on October 13 that is on $0.68 a barrel more versus the price on the same oil brand fixed on October 12. The price on URAL (EX-NOVO) to the last Friday went up to $0.72 a barrel.

Azerbaijan exports URAL oil from the Russian Port of Novorossiysk, which is carried via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline. The high quality Azerbaijani oil, including Azeri Light, is blended with other oil brands in the Russian pipeline system and is sold from Novorossiysk as URAL. The density of URAL is 30.4-31.85 degrees by API, sulphur content is up to 1.8%.

The price on DTD was $59.03 a barrel on October 13 that is on $1.22 a barrel more against the price on the same crude fixed on October 12. The price on DTD to the last Friday went up to $1.98 per barrel.

The density of DTD is 38.3 degrees API, its sulphur content 0.36%.
