SOCAR Sells 2 Light Oil Cargoes from Batumi

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) closed a tender on the delivery of 1,168,000 barrels of oil (in two 2 cargoes) of profit oil, produced from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli fields from the Georgian Black Seaport of Batumi. Swiss trader ADDAX BV won the tender.

SOCAR informed Trend that the first cargo will be shipped from Batumi on 410 November and the second cargo will be shipped on 10-11 November.

The Batumi oil terminal is capable of handling up to 15 million tons of bulk oil cargo per year. The terminal services tankers of 30,000-90,000 tons deadweight on four berths including a special buoy for the vessels of the Aframax class. At the moment the terminal's tank loading capacity is about 530,000 tons, which is more than enough for the handling of current and forecasted cargoes.
