SOCAR to Ship Big Volume of Light Oil from Ceyhan

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) announced that in November the SOCAR will ship from the Turkish Mediterranean Sea Port of Ceyhan 3 oil cargos with 350,000 tons of light oil (2,600 million barrels), Trend reports.

The oil will be delivered via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline.

The first oil cargo with 80,000 tons (600,000 barrels) will be shipped from Ceyhan on 3-5 November, while the second with 135,000 tons (1 million barrels) is scheduled for 11-13 November and the third with 135,000 tons on 24-26 November.

The SOCAR announced that the tender on sale of 135,000 tons of oil on 24-26 November will be announced in an ordinary schedule, while other batches will be sold in accordance with the contracts signed earlier.

A total of 3,519,900 tons of oil in 32 tanks was exported via the BTC in January to September 2006. In September the BTC will export 1,146,000 tons of oil 8 tanks.
