SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) is carrying out an appraisal to implement works and project appraisal wells for drilling on the prospective fields Nakhchivan, Umid, and Babek, Khoshbakht Yusufzadeh, the first Vice-President of SOCAR on Geology, Geophysics, and Fields development told today, Trend reports.
According to him, at present, the possibility on drilling an appraisal well on the perspective area of Nakhchivan is under consideration. SOCAR has already had one well on this field. Earlier, it was drilled by Exxon Mobil, but exceeded the frames of the field.
The appraisal of the data is being carried out to determine the point of drilling.
