Shahin Ismayilov, Director General of Azneft informed Trend that since the beginning of the year, 179 wells have been transferred to the fund of operating wells from the non-operating fund, by the Production Association Azneft - oil and gas production of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
According to the December 1, 2006 data, the fund of operating wells of SOCAR reached 4,789 wells. 68 of them are gas wells. Maintenance crews of the Production Association implemented 1,332 works on overhaul. In result of the taken measures, 484 thousand 907,4 tons of oil was produced.
In January-November 2006, SOCAR completed drilling works on 66 wells. 55 wells were put into operation. 285 thousand. 541 tons of oil was produced from the wells.
