Sergey Kupriyanov, an Official Representative of RAO Gazprom , said today to the Broadcasting Station Ekho Moskvy that Azerbaijan denied Russian gas supply for 2007. He said that Azerbaijan was engaged in producing its won gas, as well as carrying out its export. However, according to Mr. Kupriyanov, the Russian gas supplies cessation is a matter of time.

In 2006, Gazprom is to supply Azerbaijan 4,5 bln. cubic meters of gas at the price of $110 per 1000 cubic meters. However, the negotiations on the gas supplies in 2007 have not officially completed yet. Russian gas giant was about to reduce its gas supplies to Azerbaijan in 2007 from 4,5 down to 1,5 bln. cubic meters , and at the same time raise the price per 1.000 cubic meters up to $235, Trend reports referring to RBK.
