Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Babayeva, A.Aliyev / The Minister of Industry and Energy of Azerbaijan, Natig Aliyev, said on 2 March that this year Georgia will receive 250 mln cu.m of guaranteed gas from "Shah Deniz" field. "Presently Georgia does not receive gas from the field, but the delivery if this volume will be ensured by the end of the year," the Minister said.
According to him, at present Georgia receives nearly 1 mln cu.m of gas per day delivered by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
According to the Minister, this volume will be delivered till April. In January 30 mln cu.m of gas were delivered to Georgia. The cost of SOCAR's gas for Georgia amounts to $120 per thousand cu.m.
The guaranteed gas in volume of 250 mln cu.m, which Georgia will receive from "Shah Deniz" will be delivered with $63 per thousand cu.m. The additional volumes and price of the gas are under discussions.
