Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend U.Ismaylova / The Chairman of "Azerigaz" CSC, Alikhan Melikov, said on 2 March that presently the volume of the underground gas reserves of Azerbaijan equals 550 mln cu.m.
According to him, an open international tender is expected to be held in April to expand Garadagh underground reservoir.
"The project on expansion has already been submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers for consideration. The response is expected to be received till the beginning of April," he said.
Gazprom and other large companies are expected to attend the international tender.
