SOCAR’s Oil Consignment Transported by VLCC Tanker from Ceyhan

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr S. Aliyev/ The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) reported that at the end of March SOCAR's oil consignment had been transported by VLCC (very large crude carrier) from the oil terminal in Ceyhan for the first time.

The 1,593,170 barrel volume of oil was delivered to Ceyhan through Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline. The purchaser of the oil consignment is the Swiss Addax BV company. The oil was transported to South Korea.

The tankers of VLCC type are capable of transporting 160,000-320,000 tonnes of oil.
