Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / The meeting of the Coordination Council with the Azerbaijan Industry and Energy Ministry was held today, on 6 April. The Press-Service of the Ministry reports that during the meeting, participants reviewed issues connected to the implementation of the State Programme on Using Alternative and Renewable Energy Sources.
Rafig Aliyev, the Chairman of the Coordination Council, informed participants about efforts carried out by the Ministry in this field.
In addition, during the Council meeting, proposals for wind and sun energy were considered. SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) also revealed a proposal for a pilot project to install a wind plant on the island of Chilov (Jiloy), in the Caspian Sea.
