Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend / The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) closed the tender on the sale of its own oil, branded Azeri Light, from the Turkish Port of Ceyhan. The oil is delivered to the Port via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, according to a source from SOCAR. The volume of oil in the consignment was equal to 1 mln barrels of oil (135,000 tons). The shipment was expected to take place between 1-7 June. On 4 May, the price on crude Azeri light for Ceyhan was $64.96 per barrel (up $0.58/per barrel compared to the previous price).
SOCAR oil consignments from Ceyhan Port have been purchased by the following companies in 2007:
