Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend S. Aliyev / Another well will be put into operation in the Shah Daniz gas-condensate field in the third decade of May. As a result, the field will become capable of 10mln cm per day production of gas (present production capacity is 5.1mln cm).
Possibility to increase the gas production in the field is under current consideration of the Sate Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and its Shah Daniz partners. The volume of production is supposed to be increased by 1bln cm per year during the Stage-1.
The increase can be achieved in 2008.
During the Stage-1 8.6mln cm of gas will be allegedly produced in the field per year. In case of increase by 1bln the production will amount to 9.6bln cm.
Some 2.8bln of gas will be produced in the field in 2007.
In January-April the production comprised 281.58mln cm.
