Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr I. Khalilova / By the decree of the Azerbaijani President, the new membership of the Supervisory Council of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan Republic (SOFAR) has been approved.
As previously, the Council is headed by the Azerbaijani Prime Minister Arthur Rasizadeh. Members of the Council are the Vice Speaker of Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani parliament), Valeh Askarov, the Counsellor of State on Economic Policy, Vahid Akhundov, the Minister of Finance, Samir Sharifov, the Minister of Economic Development of Azerbaijan, Heydar Babayev, the President of the National Bank of Azerbaijan, Elman Rustamov, the Deputy Chairman of the Permanent Parliamentary Commission on Economic Policy, Azar Amiraslanov, the Chairman of the State Securities Committee, Gunduz Mammadov, Chairman of the State Securities Committee, Gunduz Mammadov and the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Mahmoud Karimov.
The decree came into effect on 16 May thus cancelling the validity of the previous decree dated 27 December, 2001.
