Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Babayeva / A special EITI session will take place on 7 June in Baku during the 14th International "Caspian Oil
According to information provided by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ), the session will be presided by the Head of SOFAZ and Chairman of EITI National Committee, Shahmar Movsumov.
An official welcoming speech at the session will be made by the Ambassador of Norway to Azerbaijan, Yon Romberg.
Main reports will be delivered by the Minister of Industry and Energy of Azerbaijan, Natig Aliyev and Deputy Minister of Oil and Energy of Norway, Anita Atses.
In the first part of the session "EITI: Acquired Experience/Future Steps", reports will be made by the Head of SOFAZ, Shahmar Movsumov, SOCAR Vice President for Economic Affairs, Suleyman Gasimov, Statoil Company's Manager for State and Public Relations, Sver Olden Mala, BP Director for Communications and Foreign Relations, Clare Bebbington and SOCAR's former President, present Head of the Fund for Assistance to the Development of Entrepreneurship and Market Economy, Sabit Bagirov.
In the second part of the session "EITI: Regional Prospects", reports will be delivered by the Head of the EITI Secretariat, Yonas Moberg, representative of the Georgian NGO Coalition "Transparency of Public Financial Funds", David Narmania, EITI Kazakhstan, Malik Issabeyov, EITI Kyrgyzstan, Erkingul Imankodjoev.
