Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan  Probable to Sign an Interim Agreement on TransCaspian Oil Transportation System

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend S.Aliyev / By September Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan do not exclude the opportunities of signing of an interim agreement on the establishment of the Trans-Caspian system for oil transpiration via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, according a source close to ongoing Baku talks held between the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan and KazMunayGas.

Talks on the implementation of an intergovernmental agreement on the Kazakh gas transportation signed between the President of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan in 2007 began in Baku this week.

The talks were carried out between the delegations led by the President of KazMunayGas, Uzakbay Karabalin and the President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, Rovnag Abdullayev.

A presentation of conceptual views by the interested on the establishment of TransCaspian oil transportation was held during the meeting They noted the importance of continuing talks and decided to intensify talks on the level of working groups.
