Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend S.Aliyev / The annual production of Stage one of the Shah Deniz project will comprise 8bln cu m while entering a stable phase of production
Rovnag Abdullayev, the President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, stated at a news conference on 3 July that a major part of production- 6bln cu m per year - will be supplied to Turkey, 0.3bln cu m to Georgia and 1.5bln cu m to Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan purchases Shah Deniz gas at $52 per 1,000 cu m, Georgia $63 per 1,000 cu m and Turkey at $120 per 1,000 cu m.
During Stage two of the Shah Deniz project the production is forecast at 12bln cu m of gas per year. By 2015 the production from the field may comprise 20bln cu m per year.
The production in Azerbaijan began in December 2006. In January to June 2007 the production from the field made up 700.44mln cu m of gas, which included 538.7mln cu m of gas supplied to Azerbaijan.
