Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend / The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), in the period from January to August, exported 5.226mln t of its own oil, a source at SOCAR stated on 4 September.
Over this period, SOCAR exported 816,980t of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline. From January to August, oil was not exported via the Baku-Supsa pipeline due to repairs being done to the pipeline.
Some 221,258t of oil was exported via railway to the Georgian port of Batumi.
From January to August, SOCAR exported 4.188mln t of oil via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline.
In 2006, SOCAR transported 1.172mln t of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline, 1.155mln t via Baku-Supsa, 1.135mln t via rail to Batumi, and 1.402mln tons via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline (export via this pipeline commenced in May 2006).
