Aliyev / In August, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) marked 400.32 cu m of gas for Azerenerji JSC for the production of electricity in energy stations, according to SOCAR. A total of the gas marked for Azerenerji this year made up 1,625,360 cu m of gas.
In April, SOCAR changed its scheme of gas operations. Now instead of Azerigaz, SOCAR sells its own gas to Azerenerji JSC.
SOCAR sold 1,000 cu m of gas per AZN 42 to Azerigaz, and the last one sold the fuel necessary for production of electricity to Azerenerji.
Azerenerji paid little for the gas supplied by Azerigaz. Thus, Azerigaz had debts to SOCAR. At present, Azerigaz only transports gas to electricity-producing stations.
