The joint-stock commercial bank Rysgal has introduced contactless payment technology for the first time in Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to Neytralni Turkmenistan newspaper.
The presentation of MasterCard Maestro card, the leader in global payments and the use of a technological system uniting billions of consumers and thousands of financial institutions around the world, took place in Ashgabat.
As reported, the Turkmen bank joined the membership of MasterCard Principal, which has a high status and has the right to produce international plastic cards and connect their devices to the international payment system MasterCard.
At the first stage, it is planned that this product will function using the national currency, and salary will be transferred to the card. The second stage involves the launch of a series of MasterCard Standard, MasterCard Gold and MasterCard Platinum cards. These are international bank cards that will open their holders with the newest features of comfortable services around the world.
Priority service, discounts and special offers around the world, access to business halls of airports, unlimited use of wireless Internet and much more awaits business clients of the bank in the future .
At the final stage, all types of MasterCard plastic cards will support the Rysgal Internet banking service, which will ensure viewing of movements and balances on cards without having to go to technical devices such as terminals and ATMs,. It will also provide SMS notification service and 24-hour access to Call center.
The advantage of such cards is the ease of use, and speed and security of the payments. Holders of such cards can make instant payments with one touch without entering a PIN code, which saves time and eliminates waiting in queues.
With the established limit on contactless payments, the MasterCard Maestro card is convenient to use for paying small payments for transport, communication services,and inexpensive goods in retail outlets.
