Kazakhstan's budget expenditures increase by over 26%

The value of tax payments to Kazakhstan’s budget amounted to 5.113 trillion tenge during first five months of 2019, which is 15.2 percent more than during the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to Association of Financiers of Kazakhstan.

The value of tax payments to republican budget increased by 19.5 percent, whereas payments to local budgets increased by 6.9 percent. Tax payments to National Fund increased by 13.4 percent.

Total expenditures of consolidated budget increased by 26.1 percent during the reporting period and amounted to 5.209 trillion tenge.

Some 2.731 trillion or 52.4 percent of total expenditures accounted for social expenditures during January-May 2019. However, the largest increase is observed in non-social expenditures. This indicator has increased by 421.1 billion tenge or by 5.5 times. Expenditures on social help and support increased by 248.8 billion tenge (+22.7 percent), whereas the expenditures on education increased by 111.7 billion tenge (+14.8 percent).
