Azerbaijan’s GDP volume reached 37.825 billion manats in January-June 2019, that is 2.4 percent more than in January-June 2018, Trend reports referring to the State Statistical Committee.
The volume of GDP per capita stood at 3,828.1 manats.
In the structure of GDP, industry accounted for 44.6 percent; trade and repair of vehicles - 9.9 percent; transport and warehousing - 6.2 percent; construction - 5.9 percent; agriculture, forestry and fisheries – 5.6 percent; tourism and catering - 2.6 percent; information and communications - 1.7 percent; and other areas -14.5 percent. Taxes on goods and imports accounted for 9 percent of GDP.
During the reporting period, economic growth was recorded in such areas as information and communication - 15.8 percent; agriculture, forestry and fisheries - 13.1 percent; tourism and public catering - 3.3 percent; industry - 2.9 percent; trade and repair of vehicles - 2.8 percent; transport and warehousing - 2.5 percent; other areas - 1.8 percent; At the same time, a decrease of 11.2 percent was observed in the construction sector.
In the oil sector, growth in the first half of the year amounted to 1.3 percent, and in the non-oil sector - 3.2 percent.
