On September 16, the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution “On further improvement of the Unified Tariff Schedule for Remuneration of Labor”, Trend reports citing Uzbek media.

This decision approved the Unified Tariff Schedule for Remuneration; for its basis the minimum wage (634,880 soums) is adopted.

To determine the size of the tariff rate (official salary), the tariff coefficient is multiplied by the minimum wage established by law. Until now, the basis of a single tariff grid was the minimum wage.

On July 12, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree "On increasing wages, pensions, scholarships and benefits."

According to the document, starting from September 1, the minimum wage, the base calculated amount and the base amount for calculating the pension were introduced in Uzbekistan.

The minimum wage is applied in the field of labor relations to determine the amount of official salary, allowances, bonuses, fees, compensation payments for additional work and other incentive payments.

It is also applicable to deductions established by law, and other payments previously established in relation to the minimum wage, as well as determining the need of the family for social support and the size of unemployment benefits.

The minimum wage is mandatory for all employers, regardless of the legal form and labor relations, as the lower limit of the remuneration of workers who have fully complied with the established labor standards.

According to the presidential decree, the minimum wage is increased from 577 ,170 soums to 634 880 soums; basic calculated value - from 202,730 soums to 223,000 soums; and basic amount for calculating the pension - from 202 730 soums to 223,000 soums.

The base estimate is used to determine the amount of taxes, fees, fines, state duties and other payments for provided public services; the cost of a patent, license and other payments for engaging in a certain type of entrepreneurial activity; the size of the authorized and other funds (capital) of organizations, the value of shares, other securities not paid in cash, the carrying amount of assets of legal entities, the maximum amount of microloans and leasing, as well as other financial and economic indicators.

In turn, the basic amount of calculating pensions is used to calculate pensions, allowances, surcharges and compensations, as well as compensation for harm caused to the health of the employee.
