Turkey exported 1,808 passenger cars to Georgia in January-August 2019, Trend reports referring to Georgian National Statistics Office (Geostat).
The value of the exported vehicles amounted to $43.52 million.
In an annual comparison, the export of cars from Turkey increased by 715 units, or 1.65 times. Over the same period last year, 1,093 units of vehicles worth $23.97 million were imported by Georgia from Turkey.
For eight months of 2019, total imports to Georgia from Turkey amounted to $993 million. In turn, Georgia exported goods worth $144 million to Turkey.
The foreign trade turnover of Georgia with Turkey from January to August 2019 exceeded $1.13 billion, which is 14 percent of the total trade turnover of Georgia.
